Home' Island Sun : ISN 092515 Contents ISLAND SUN - SEPTEMBER 25, 2015
Kay Casperson, nationally rec-
ognized lifestyle expert, author
and owner of the Lifestyle Spa
& Boutiques, will be the guest speaker
for the American Business Women’s
Association (ABWA) Sanibel-Captiva
Charter Chapter October meeting.
Casperson will speak on Balancing
Business & Life on Tuesday, October
13 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Sundial
Resort & Spa.
After high school, Casperson’s pas-
sion for helping others and her talent for
beauty and fashion led her to California,
where she immersed herself in makeup
artistry and learned about the beauty
industry. She quickly attracted a dedicated
clientele, but found herself frustrated
when they asked for recommendations
on what skincare to use.
There were a lot of good products on
the market, but no complete collection
she whole-heartedly believed in. This
inspired her to begin working with chem-
ists to research and develop her holistic
collection of easy-to-use, quality skincare
Casperson opened the first interna-
tional model and talent agency of its kind,
and, in 1996, she co-authored her first
book, Beauty Inside Out: 80 Ways to be
Positively Unforgettable, which sold in
bookstores across the country.
Intent on making products that were
more than just skincare and unlike any
on the market, Casperson created eight
core skincare steps based on her personal
lifestyle philosophy of Beauty Inside Out.
By the late 90s, Casperson’s products
were being used in spas and salons all
over the world. She eventually moved to
Southwest Florida and became a wife and
mother of two, which forced her to put
the tenets of Beauty Inside Out to the test
in one of the most challenging lifestyles
of all – balancing being a full-time parent
Casperson continued to enhance her
products and toured the nation teach-
ing others about Beauty Inside Out. To
complement the healing effects of her
unique system, she created her hypoaller-
genic cosmetics collection, which includes
mineral foundations and eye shadows and
anti-aging lip colors and glosses.
Casperson opened her first boutique
on Sanibel in 2008, and a year later, she
opened her full-service flagship Lifestyle
Spa & Boutique on Captiva Island; three
more locations soon followed. She and
her products have been featured on major
national shopping networks.
As part of her mission to inspire
and give back to the world around her,
she founded Beauty with a Purpose, a
charitable extension that supports local,
national and international organizations
promoting peace, hope and wellness. Her
dream to help people change their lives
inspired her to share Beauty Inside Out
with the world.
